I Shed A Tear, Today

Lord, I shed a tear, today.
I felt so down and out.
I wanted to throw my hands up.
I wanted to scream and shout.
Then, I felt your presence, Lord.
You whispered in my ear.
You said, "My friend, I love you!
I'll always keep you near.
I see how hard you're trying.
I see a heart that's pure.
I know that you are hurting.
I know what you can endure.
Lift up your chin and smile.
I'm always there for you.
You'll learn from your mistakes,
To believe in all you do."
